Damien Thomas (Yitzhak Levy)

Damien Thomas trained at RADA. His career as an actor has spanned five decades.

His first major role was for the Hammer studio, playing the villainous lead in Twins of Evil (1971)Other early screen credits included major roles in Orson Welles’ Merchant of Venice and Sam Wanamaker’s Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger (1977)He rose to worldwide prominence in the American miniseries, Shogun (1980). His subsequent screen credits included the joint lead in Roman Polanski’s Pirates (1986), opposite Walter Mattheau.

Damien’s huge list of TV credits includes Tenko, Jane Eyre, House of Cards, The Talisman, Sense & Sensibility, Poirot and The Return of Sherlock Holmes.

He has also enjoyed a distinguished career on stage, including seasons at Liverpool Playhouse, the Old Vic in London, and three highly successful seasons at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.

Damien has most recently been seen in the films Never Let Me Go, Kill List and The Limehouse Gollum. He lives in Dorset.
